Privacy Policy
Pivot Labs LLC (d/b/a LEADKEEPER) answers inquiries by text on behalf of local service businesses, and offers those businesses a plan, a free grade of their front door, a Silence Test, and a website build. This policy explains what information we handle in each of those, who processes it, and how long we keep it. It covers everyone we touch: the consumers who contact a business we serve, the business owners who sign up or try the test, and the people who ask for a grade.
1. If you contacted a business we serve (consumers)
When you contact one of those businesses — by submitting their website form, calling and missing them, or texting them — our system sends you a reply text on that business's behalf and lets the business know you reached out.
We collect only what you send: your name and mobile number as you provided them; the content of your messages; how you reached out and the timestamps of each message. We use it for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and relay the conversation to the business you contacted. We do not send promotional or marketing messages.
Mobile information is never shared or sold. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers, SMS consent, and opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or lead generators.
If you pressed 1 for a text back after a missed call, we keep your number, the time of your call and your keypress for as long as the business is served by us and 12 months after; if a business asked us to send you a review request, we keep your number, the job reference and the business's record of your written agreement for the same period, so that we can show the consent behind each message.
2. If you signed up for LEADKEEPER (business customers)
At signup we collect your business name, your name, your email address, your mobile number, and a payment card. We use them to run your account, to send you the owner alerts, the Morning Text and the billing notices you agreed to, and to charge the amounts due under the Terms.
Payment cards. Your card is entered in a Stripe form on our signup page and goes to Stripe directly; the card number never touches our servers. We store only the identifiers Stripe gives us and the record of each charge, credit and refund.
Your leads. Once your account is live, we hold the lead records and message threads described in Section 1 for your business, and we show them to you on your scoreboard and in your reports.
3. If you ran the Silence Test
We collect the business name you typed, the industry if you chose one, the mobile number you gave us, the two messages we sent and their delivery receipts, your reply if you sent one, the timestamps of each, and the network address of the connection that ran the test (used only to limit how many tests one connection can run). We use them to run and show you your test and to enforce one test per business. Reply STOP to any of our texts and the number is placed on our permanent do-not-message list.
4. If you asked for a grade
We collect the business name and location you typed and, if you gave one, the website. To grade, we look the business up in Google's Places service and measure the website's speed with Google's PageSpeed service; we keep the receipts of each lookup and the findings we derived, not Google's data. If you ask us to email you the report, we keep the email address you gave and send it that one report.
5. Who processes information for us
Stripe (payments — card storage, charges, refunds); Twilio (sending and receiving text messages); Google (the Places and PageSpeed lookups behind a grade); Hetzner Online GmbH (the server our service runs on, located in the United States); Cloudflare (the network in front of our servers and this website). Each handles information only to provide its service to us. The business you contacted, if you are a consumer, sees its own conversation with you. Mobile carriers deliver the messages. No one else.
6. Message frequency, rates, opting out, help
Message frequency varies. Consumer messages are sent only in response to customer-initiated contact; the Silence Test sends up to two messages; customers receive the alerts they turned on. Message and data rates may apply; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply. Pivot Labs does not charge you to receive messages.
Reply STOP to opt out at any time (STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT also work). You will receive one final message confirming your opt-out, and your number is added to a permanent do-not-message list checked before every message we send. Opting out anywhere opts you out everywhere.
Reply HELP for our contact information, or email us any time at hello@pivotlabsllc.com.
7. How long we keep it
The do-not-message list: indefinitely, because that is how we make sure we never message you again.
Consumer lead records and message threads: while we serve the business you contacted. and for up to 24 months after the last message in a conversation, after which we delete them. Today that deletion is done by hand, on request; an automatic schedule is not yet in place.
Business accounts: while the account exists, and for 30 days after it ends so you can request an export (Terms, Section 13); then we may delete in the ordinary course.
Payment records: Stripe keeps what the law requires it to keep; we keep the ledger of your charges, credits and refunds for our accounting.
Silence Test records and the messages to and from our number: kept for our records; a deletion schedule is not yet set.
Grade records and emailed-report requests: kept for 12 months.
You can email hello@pivotlabsllc.com at any time to ask what information we hold about you or your number, or to request that we delete it, and we will respond honestly and promptly.
8. How we protect it
Records are stored on systems Pivot Labs controls, and access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service and, for a consumer's conversation, to the business contacted. No storage or transmission method is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we collect little, share it with no one beyond those named above, and delete it on the schedule stated here.
9. This website
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. It stores a setting or two in your browser (for example, whether you chose monthly or annual billing) and, on the signup page, a one-time token that prevents a double submission. The signup page loads Stripe's card form, which is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. The "Book a call" link goes to a scheduling service governed by its own policy.
10. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update it at this address with a new effective date. Questions go to hello@pivotlabsllc.com. Pivot Labs LLC · 2389 Main St, Ste 100, Glastonbury, CT 06033.
